Oracle HTTP Server also referred to as OHS is built on Apache Version 1.3
OHS is the front end to the application server,base remains apache there are
numerous features added to OHS

OHS is the integral part of the Application Server.

Main configurataion file for OHS is located in
$ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf and a sumpplementary file
oracle_apache.conf. Each application instance has its own unique httpd.conf file.

httpd.conf parameters are categorized in three parts

1) Global Parameters
2) Default Parameters
3) Virtual Host

 

Apache has modular configurtion, i.e patches, from where it derived its name
apache (addition of various patches/modules)
